The Harlow Tye Rotary Club Annual Charity Abseil

The best ever!!!!


The eleventh Harlow Tye Rotary Club Charity Abseil was held on
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May 2008 and the 246 participants who took
the challenge have pledged a massive £62,426 for sixty eight local, regional
and national groups and charities.

A very big thank you to all who took part!
What's been raised over the years?
1998 : £20,000
1999 : £57,000
2000 : £24,000
2001 : £23,000
2002 : £24,000
2003 : £22,500
2004 : £60,000
2005 : £56,500
2006 : £50,500
2007 : £51,000
2008 : £62,500 pledged

Grand Total in eleven years is over £450,000.

What do we do?

Harlow Tye Rotary Club manages all details of the event:
- we arrange and liaise with the professional experts from Duke's Barn Outdoor Adventure Organisation which handles instruction on abseiling and supervises all ascents and descents from the tower on the day.
- we arrange all licences and permissions and for first-aid cover
- we handle all administration
- 100% of sponsorship money sent to us is passed directly to your nominated charity or voluntary organisation
- we liaise with all registered participants providing sponsorship forms for their friends and family to pledge
- we provide details of descent(as close to your preferred time as possible) and comprehensive directions to the site
